About
What We Stand For!
The Best-Case Scenario Project aims to increase safe and sound civic spaces and strengthen the social norm that violence has no place in our city halls, parks or polling places.
We focus on three key levers of influence to shape public conversation and behavior:
1.
Supporting leaders directly
2.
Media engagement
3.
Creative and cultural interventions
Why Now?
While the vast majority of people in this country oppose political violence, recent events have shown us that temperatures are still too high. Planning for the worst case is critical but to create the future we want, we need to rediscover and reinforce the norms of productive disagreement, respect across differences and commitment to safe civic spaces where all people can participate without fear.
This project brings together insights and experts from across political science, psychology, sports, faith and community power-building to create and support the use of actions, strategies and messaging that strengthen norms. It will take all of us.
